When you’re away camping the kids always keep themselves active with bike riding, kicking a ball or even making new friends, but what can you do to occupy them when it’s quite time or raining? How about Play doh?

Play doh is super easy to make, requires very basic ingredients and keeps them happy for a bit. There’s no cooking involved and it only take a few minutes to whip together one colour. Here we’ve made three colours in less than ten minutes – easy!

How To Make Play-Doh

Ingredients you will need:

  • 3 cups plain flour
  • 1 cup fine salt
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1/2-1 cup warm water
  • Food colouring

Step 1.

Add flour and salt to a bowl. Add oil.

Step 2.

Add a few drops food colouring to half a cup of warm water. Add to bowl.

Step 3.

Using a metal spoon, stir until just combined. Add extra water in small amounts, if needed.

Step 4.

Using your hands knead for a couple of minutes until a smooth Play doh is formed.

TIP: If the Play doh is too dry, add a little extra water. If too wet, add a little extra flour, then knead well.

Step 5.

Let your kids enjoy playing with the play doh
