The Lower Lakes Stockman’s Challenge and Bush Festival occurs over three days, held in Strathalbyn, South Australia. Local and interstate competitors showcase their skills in whip cracking, bareback obstacles, stock handling, packhorse, horseshoeing and cross country events. Australian Camp Oven Festival | 1st – 2nd October 2016 | QLD

This year the Australian Camp Oven Festival will be celebrating its 10th anniversary! The festival happens on the 1st and 2nd October 2016. It will include a diverse range of heritage-inspired activities such as bush poetry, arts, crafts, shearing demonstrations, damper throwing competitions and of course – camp oven cooking!

The Australian Camp Oven Festival takes place in the regional township of Millmerran, situated on the western fringe of the Darling Downs, Queensland. This festival attracts 1000’s of visitors from all over Australia.

Kiewa Valley Camp Oven Cook-off | 19th November 2016 | VIC

The Cook-Off is an exciting team event. Participants will compete to be the Kiewa Valley Camp Oven Cook-Off Champions. The winners will be as The Champions.
The inaugural Kiewa Valley Camp Oven Cook-Off is being held in the beautiful hamlet of Tangambalanga Better known to the locals as Tangam, this rural Victorian town in the beautiful Kiewa Valley is the perfect spot.  Mount Murramurrangbong is the sister town Kiewa ( on the other side of the Kiewa River). Kergunyah and Dederang up the valley.

Maffra Show Camp Oven Signature Dish Camp Oven Cook Off | 21st – 22nd October | VIC

The Signature Dish Camp Oven Cook-Off takes place at the Maffra Recreational Reserve and is part of the Maffra Show. Visitors can experience camp oven food at its finest. The competition is fierce and the teams out to impress! Spectators can watch to the whole camp oven experience. Teams enter the competition and there are limited numbers. There’s also the Maffra Show Camp Oven Damper Cook-Off which is open to school-aged children only.
